GE Healthcare
Olin College Senior Capstone 2022-23
For my Senior Capstone at Olin College of Engineering I was apart of the GE Healthcare team tasked with improving the alignment process and precision of installing CT Scanners. This long year project involved a focused down-selection of the ideal solution with thorough follow through and development of the CV(Computer Vision) proposed solution. It leverages classical calibration and epipolar geometry principles for an elegant and reproducible system. This project also created basic UI interfaces for theoretical technician screens, and an extensive research into calculating error metrics of all calculable components of the system. This rigorousness was imposed from sub-millimeter and fractions of a degree accuracy proposed by GEHC.
I personally stood in as the Project Manager for the duration and helped coordinate shipments, run regular meetings with GE representatives, and establish the working timeline to achieve this rigorous deliverable. My responsibilities also included the manufacturing/design of prototype mounts and software tasks regarding our computer vision system.
